The new Premier League campaign is all set to kick start this weekend, with a host of players expected to make their debuts for their new clubs.

Whereas there has not been much activity from last season's top three in the summer transfer window, other clubs have made quite a statement in  the past month or so. Man United and Liverpool in particular have made major efforts in order to regain their lost statures in English football whereas clubs in the lower half have shown a lot of ambition as well. Here are the ten partnerships to look out for in the Premier League this season:

Morgan Schneiderlin and Bastian Schweinsteiger

The club has been long looking for a dictator in the middle of the park and might have found the answer in not one but two players. Schweinsteiger is one of the most decorated players in world football and having won almost everything in the game, he has now arrived to Man United to respond to their midfield problems. Schneiderlin on the other hand had been an important member of the Southampton side which has show massive potential in recent years and along with Schweinsteiger can provide a lot of stability in the middle of the park.

Radamel Falcao and Eden Hazard

Diego Costa's niggling injuries have been a source of concern for Chelsea, but Jose Mourinho is confident that Radamel Falcao can return to his best under his tutelage. Once one of the most feared strikers in the world, the Colombian is just a shadow of his former self.

He however will be playing infront of a talented attacking trio which also includes last season's player of the year Eden Hazard who might just succeed in getting the best out of the former Man United man.

Christian Benteke and Daniel Sturridge

When fit Daniel Sturridge is arguably one of the best strikers in the league and once he does regain full fitness he will have Christian Benteke to support him upfront. The Belgian international is a proven quantity and has made quite an impression in the Premier League. Should Liverpool manage to keep the aforementioned duo fit, they can cause quite a havoc in the opposition half.

James Milner and Jordan Henderson

The departure of Steven Gerrard is the start of a new era for Liverpool and there are a number of players who will be hoping to step up. Jordan Henderson is Liverpool's new leader and will be hoping to showcase that through his performances. He will be supported in the middle of the park by James Milner who's tenacity and vigor will be very useful for Liverpool.

Yohan Cabaye and Yannick Bolasie

Crystal Palace have made a remarkable signing in French international Yohan Cabaye and will be hoping to make the most out of it. Congo international Yannick Bolasie was one of the team's stand out players last season and will be looking to benefit from Cabaye's expansive passing range.

Memphis Depay and Wayne Rooney

The Dutch youngster has been likened to Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo and is expected to achieve great things at his new club. He is expected to start upfront for Man United where he will be supported by one of the league's best, Wayne Rooney.

Jordy Clasie and Victor Wanyama

Schneiderlin's departure has left a space in the Southampton midfield which will be filled by Dutch international Jordy Clasie. The midfielder had been linked to Man United in the past and can prove to be a wonderful signing for the club. Along with Wanyama, Clasie can provide a lot of stability in the middle of the park.

Ibrahim Afellay and Bojan Krkic

It will be a reunion for two former Barcelona players in unimagined territory. Bojan Krkic has already won stoke hearts and Ibrahim Afellay will be hoping to do the same. The Dutch international who was once a highly rated playmaker has failed to meet lofty expectations and will be looking for a fresh start at his new club.

Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez

Mesut Ozil has been scintillating in preseason and will be hoping to continue that when the new season begins. One player who can benefit from that is Chilean star Alexis Sanchez who will not be taking part in the club's opening match against West Ham, but can form a formidable partnership with the German once he does return.

Sergio Aguero and Raheem Sterling

Raheem Sterling's addition to the side adds another dimension to Man City's game which can do wonders for them upfront. Sergio Aguero was the league's top scorer last season and Sterling can help him out by sharing the goal scoring burden.
