Kaká and David Villa will make their All Star debut. Robbie Keane and Clint Dempsey used to play for Tottenham.

As the middle of the Major League Soccer season approaches, so does the All-Star game in the United States. This time, the American league has assembled one of its best lineups for the 2015 edition of a game that puts the league to compete against some of the best teams in the world.

In 2003, Guadalajara was the first international team invited to this game. Since then, Chelsea, Celtic, Manchester United and most recently Bayern Munich, were the teams that took part in this match. This year, with all the big stars joining the MLS, David Villa, Steven Gerrard and Kaká highlight the MLS roster.

Frank Lampard was also initially considered to be a part of this match, but a calf strain will leave him out this time around. Most of the attention could be centered on Clint Dempsey who was the leading scorer of the Gold Cup (7) and Robbie Keane. Both players have some memories of playing with the Spurs in the past.

Keane scored 122 goals with Tottenham and is currently ranked 10th in the all-time scoring list for the English Premier League club. Dempsey scored only seven goals in 33 appearances for the Spurs. Now Keane, is a member of the reigning champions, L.A. Galaxy and Dempsey has returned to play for Seattle Sounders.

Harry Kane, a multiple-time winner of the EPL Player of the Month award last season and one of the most important players in the English national team, is part if the team making the trip to Colorado. Kane was number two in the table of leading scorers (21), just behind Sergio Aguero who ended with 26.

De Andre Yedlin, who just represented the United States in the Gold Cup, could be joining his teammates in Commerce City. The 22-year-old defender was one of the best players in Jurgen Klinsmann's list for the summer tournament. Yedlin just had his EPL debut last April and is building on the confidence that such moment has given him.

When it comes to matching the MLS All-Star side against English teams, the Americans hold an advantage and a 4-2-1 record. It is important to note that while most European teams use this game as part of their pre-season, the American side is made out of players that are halfway through their season.
