Although stating his focus at the moment is with the Gunners, the Welsh midfield ace admits he favors a move away from England.

Arsenal star Aaron Ramsey has sparked exit rumors after admitting to the Guardian that he would one day love to move to La Liga and experience Spanish football.

The 24-year-old Welsh midfielder, after enduring a broken leg and harsh criticism from the club’s supporters throughout his career at the Emirates, has now grown into an integral figure among the team’s ranks.

However, competition in midfield is tight, with Jack Wilshere, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Santi Cazorla, and Mikel Arteta all vying for a spot.

Spanish heavyweights Barcelona have been rumored to be chasing after the former Cardiff City ace’s signature, a link which the player himself revealed he is flattered by. He did, however, lament that his focus is with the Gunners.

"Obviously it's very flattering," said Ramsey. "They [Barcelona] did the treble last year and it's just really nice to be linked with one of the best clubs in the world.

"One day I would like to go over to Spain to play just to see what it's like and to experience that. But at the moment I'm with Arsenal and I feel like this Arsenal team can go and be successful and challenge for things."

Ramsey has grown into an indispensable box-to-box midfielder for the Gunners, possessing a goalscoring threat with the capability of putting in a defensive shift.

However, due to the competition in midfield, and Le Prof’s determination to accommodate all his star midfielders into the starting eleven, the Welsh ace has constantly pushed wide, away from his preferable role in a central position.

Ramsey admitted to being frustrated with his role at the north London side, saying back in early June: "I know in preseason I've got to work my socks off to get back in the centre.

"The manager felt he needed me out wide for the back part of last season and I've had an effect on games out there.

"But I'm looking to play in the centre and I'm confident in my ability that I can do that and win my place back there."
