The German winger signed a contract extension with Borussia Dortmund in February, but Los Blancos are preparing an offer to sign him before the transfer window closes.

Marco Reus' future with Borussia Dortmund doesn't seem to be clear. After signing a contract extension with the yellow-and-black side in February, English and Spanish newspapers are referring to a possible move involving the German wingman, with Real Madrid and Liverpool as his possible destinations.

According to English sources, Florentino Perez is preparing a €60 million bid for the player's services, who he intended to sign in the past transfer window. Reus' intention to leave Dortmund before the end of his previous contract was no secret, but the club managed to keep their star with them while granting the player a wage increase. Now, only an astonishing amount of money would separate Reus from his beloved side, and this could be the deal he was waiting for.

Nevertheless, Real Madrid hasn't released its full force to sign Reus due to another ongoing transfer. Karim Benzema may be leaving Los Blancos this summer, after Arsenal presented a £45 million bid to sign the French striker, and that negotiation may be the key to have Reus joining La Casa Blanca. Although Benzema's departure was not a priority, the team would be willing to let the player go in order to comply with Financial Fair Play regulations, facilitating Reus' deal with the club.

Benzema's role with Los Blancos this season may not be as influential, since coach Rafa Benitez could start Cristiano Ronaldo or Gareth Bale in the French striker's position.

If Real Madrid can't pen the deal fo Reus, Liverpool would receive him with open arms. Coach Brendan Rodgers needs to sign a player that can replace Raheem Sterling, who left last week to join Manchester City, and Reus could fit the role quite well. While Borussia Dortmund doesn't intend to sell the player, both teams will push hard to sign the talented German.
