With his playing time limited with Los Blaugranas, the Catalan player could be playing in the Premier League next season, with the Blues as his apparent destination.

One of Barcelona's most trusted backups may be living his final moments with the team, as Pedro Rodriguez revealed his intention of leaving the club in the current transfer window. Pedro was key to the team's success in recent years, but his playing time was cut short this season after the arrival of Luis Suarez.

The 27-year old striker believes he can show his class elsewhere, and he asked the team's officers to lower his buyout clause in order to facilitate a transfer.

"It's a difficult situation. You want more game time, more chances and to be the first choice. I know that being at Barca is like nowhere else. It's a dream come true to be here. I've won lots of titles and that fills me with satisfaction and joy, but you have that ambition to continue improving and to play," Pedro revealed to a Spanish newspaper.

After the news emerged, rumors pointed out that Chelsea would be willing to offer 20 million pounds to sign the talented Spaniard. In fact, other sources indicated that Jose Mourinho had already talked with Pedro, something the winger denied.

"I haven't spoken to Mourinho. I don't want to say anything, because it would be a lack of respect towards my club. For now I just want to enjoy myself with the kids at the camp," Barcelona's player added.

Although it could be early to say if the World Cup winner will join the current Premier League champions, Pedro's addition to Mourinho's squad could prove quite useful after the departure of such players as Didier Drogba and the supposed transfer deal involving Loic Remy. Some experts consider this a done deal, while stats show why Pedro wants to leave Los Blaugranas after such a successful run.
