He previously played with the same club from 2001 to 2005. Tevez was part of six different teams between 2005 and 2015.

After spending ten years playing for six different teams outside Argentina, Carlos Tevez had a warm welcome as he returned to La Bombonera once again as a Boca Juniors player. 40,000 fans gathered in the stadium where he grew up and left in 2004 to join Corinthians in Brazil before moving to Europe.

El Apache, who has been linked with success his whole career with success, has been crowned with almost every team he has played for. While he did not win a championship with West Ham United, but saved them from relegation, he did so with Boca, Corinthians, Manchester United, Manchester City and Juventus.

He had spent his whole childhood with the youth academy of the team and quickly rose to become one of the most promising stars in Argentinian football. Tevez left as a kid and comes back as a legend

"Diego Simeone was interested in taking me to Atletico and I'm grateful for that, but I was only concerned about coming home," Tevez said. "I've never had a better day than this one."

One of the happiest persons to see Tevez return home was Diego Armando Maradona, who witnessed the whole ceremony from a suite in the stadium. Tevez had to sacrifice changing his name when he first played for Boca from Carlos Alberto Martinez to the one he currently holds.

This time, he was expected to continue playing in Europe with Diego Simeone in Atletico de Madrid, but he decided it was time to sail back home. 11 years after leaving, he sacrificed a bigger paycheck to return where it all started for him. The deal to bring him back is worth £4.6million and it expires in 2018.

The best day of his life so far
