The American captain managed to score in the first minutes of the second half against Los Canaleros, keeping the team's undefeated run in the tournament.

Jurgen Klinsmann's team did not erase all those doubts after their not so flattering performances in this Gold Cup, but they managed to even the game against Panamá to make it to the Quarter-final stage of the tournament as group leaders. Michael Bradley was the man for the USMNT, who seemed to be overwhelmed by La Marea Roja, a team that didn't show any type of fear during the game, getting close to stunning the hosts.

Panama had a goal by Luis Tejeda disallowed due to an offside position, but Blas Pérez was able to make their efforts rewarded by netting the ball following Tejada's cross. A close call by the referee near Los Canaleros' box involving Alejandro Bedoya had every fan asking the ref for a penalty kick, but the whistle remained unblown and the half ended with Hernan Dario Gomez's side shocking Klinsmann's crew.

Right after the break, a wonderful cross by Bedoya, who teamed up perfectly with Dempsey, was sent to the back of the neck by the team's captain. This was Bradley's second ever Gold Cup goal. His first came back in 2011, during the final match the USMNT lost against Mexico.

After the goal, Panama regained control of the ball, and even came close on two plays involving Blas Perez, but the Americans kept it together to secure the first place in the group without being defeated, but with much work to do ahead of their quarter-final game next weekend.
