Just a few days after denying a possible transfer to Barcelona, Turkish midfielder Arda Turan has been revealed as new player for Los Blaugranas. According to the team's website, the player will join the Spanish champions for the next five seasons, following the agreement to pay 34 million euros to his former club, Atletico Madrid.
Given Barcelona's current situation, with the club just about to elect its new president, the player's contract includes a re-sell clause back to Atletico, just in case the one that's elected considers Turan is not a good choice to play for Barcelona. Barcelona would end up losing 4 million euros if the clause is exercised.
The club welcomed Turan via their Twitter feed
Terms of the player's contract are still being negotiated, since his arrival will be completed once the board elects a new President on July 18th.
