The player's agent, Carlo Cutropía, stated he has a formal offer from the Portuguese club, as the Spanish shot-stopper is 'interested' in playing for The Dragons.

It seems that Iker Casillas will finally leave Real Madrid thi summer. Added to all the rumors that placed the legendary shot-stopper playing for Tottenham, Arsenal, Liverpool and other teams, reports from the Spanish capital suggest that Los Blancos have received a bid to sign the player from FC Porto, coached by Spanish coach Julen Lopetegui. According to RTVE, the goalkeeper is "excited" to join Os Dragaos, and negotiations would be underway.

Casillas' latest seasons with Real Madrid have been surrounded by controversy. Following his complicated relationship with Jose Mourinho, who relegated the player from Móstoles to the bench, Carlo Ancelotti's decision of giving Diego López the starting spot for La Liga games did not go down well with the player. His subpar performance in the 2014 World Cup convinced fans and apparently the club's president Florentino Pérez that it was time for a change, but Iker remained with the team even after the signing of Keylor Navas. After being harshly criticized during the second half of the season, and with Real Madrid's intention to sign David De Gea, Casillas' exit from his only professional club seems like a matter of days.

The player's agent, Carlo Cutropía, confirmed to Spanish newspaper Marca that FC Porto had made a bid to sign the goalkeeper, and it's up to Los Blancos to make a decision.

"Iker is really excited about the possibility of joining Porto. Real Madrid has the offer on their desks, and they will be the ones to decide. They know what Iker wants, and right now we only have to reach an agreement with both parties," Cutropía said.

Sources indicate that, in order to facilitate Casillas' departure, Real Madrid would be willing to pay a percentage of his salary, since FC Porto can't cover the whopping €13 million the keeper earns per year. If both parties agree on terms before Real Madrid returns to their preseason camp, we may have watched Iker's final game with Real Madrid.
