Arsenal's striker scored the game-winning penalty after 120 minutes, giving La Roja their first ever Copa América trophy.

Alexis Sanchez's moment to shine came after the Copa América final went to the penalty shootout. Arsenal's striker and Chile's main man was the one to take the penalty kick that ended a 99-year drought for La Roja in the Copa América tournament.

Neither side was able to score during the 120 minutes, as it was Sanchez who came closer to breaking the deadlock when the second half of the match was coming to its end. Even after missing that volley, the Chileans kept dominating the game's actions, but they were not able to get past Sergio Romero.

When it was time to take penalties, only Lionel Messi was able to score for Argentina, while Matias Fernandez, Arturo Vidal, Charles Aranguiz and Sanchez made their shot count, giving their fans their first piece of silverware in the tournament.

After his amazing penalty, fans and even colleagues applauded Alexis' courage and skills to take that penalty. Take a look at their best comments below.
