The Turkish player, who revealed last week he wanted to leave Los Colchoneros, refused he had reached an agreement to join the current La Liga champions.

After a number of rumors surrounding his possible signing with Barcelona, Atletico Madrid's player Arda Turan denied he had already reached an agreement to join Los Blaugranas next season. Just before he went on holiday, the Turkish midfielder revealed he wanted to leave Atletico's discipline to play for another team, since the team's style required all the players to run too much, something he was tired of doing.

Following this statement, Turan's prospects of leaving the club increased by the minute, with some clubs being deemed to have presented a bid to sign the midfielder. Yesterday, reports from Spain assured that Turan would be joining Los Blaugranas for the 2015-2016 season, but the player used his Twitter feed to deny such claims.

A few days earlier, Turan asked fans not to believe any of the rumors spread by the media.

This were Turan's words today.

"Some informations revealed by the media are incorrect. I'm currently on holiday and taking a break from things"

The player's agent also added that Barcelona has not contacted him to sign Turan. In fact, there hasn't been any negotiations held with Josep Maria Bartomeu, Barcelona's president.

Turan played the most recent four seasons with Atletico Madrid, winning the Spanish Copa del Rey, one La Liga title, and two Spanish Super Cups with Los Colchoneros.
