His club in Germany is also analyzing the possibility of separating him from the team. Jara used Cavani's father situation to anger him even more.

A three-game ban is what CONMEBOL decided to give Gonzalo Jara after his incident with Edinson Cavani in the game between Chile and Uruguay. Now, the Chilean defender will miss the rest of the Copa America and one World Cup Qualifier game.

The referee, who was not able to see what the cameras did record, apparently misjudged the incident that offset Cavani’s red card. The images show Jara sticking his finger into the striker’s backside.

The Paris Saint Germain star had some rough days before the game when he was informed that his dad was arrested for drunk driving and killing a young boy in a car accident. Jara tried to take advantage of the incident and provoked Cavani’s anger.

This image went viral after the gameJara hoped no one noticed what he was doing.

“Are you nervous because your dad will be sentenced to 20 years in jail,” Jara told Cavani and the referee just saw the striker pushing the defender. He initially booked both players but Cavani had already received a yellow card earlier in the game and had to leave the game early.

It was Washington Tabarez assistant who said what Jara used to get his player in an uncomfortable situation. An investigation around the incident was launched the day after Chile beat Uruguay. Now Los Charruas may have something to smile about.

The image has now turned into graffiti

Jara's actions have had tougher consequences than what he expected nobody to notice. Right now he has the three-game suspension, a $7,500 (USD) fine and could possibly be separated from his club, Mainz, which declared they would not tolerate such behavior from any player.
