After a disappointing first year with Manchester United, the Argentinean wingman could make a comeback to La Liga, given the great relationship between 'El Fideo' and Lionel Messi.

After winning the treble this season, Barcelona wants to keep the good times rolling by adding more talent to their lineup. Even with the ongoing transfer ban imposed by FIFA, Los Blaugranas have been holding talks with a number of players to boost their squad, and the latest rumor surrounding the current Champions League holders links Angel Di Maria with a move to Camp Nou.

Sources indicate that the club has held talks with the player's agent, while his client is playing the Copa América with Argentina. Apparently, the notion of having Di Maria playing with Barça next season comes from a direct interest by coach Luis Enrique, who wants a top quality signing for the upcoming year, according to Spanish newspaper Sport.

The player, who had a disappointing season with Manchester United following a multi-million transfer from Real Madrid to the Red Devils, would be interested in moving away from Louis Van Gaal's team to ease the tension between himself and his family, who had a hard time adapting to a new city after years living in Madrid.

Di Maria's past stint with Real Madrid would represent no problem for the player, given his complicated relationship with Florentino Perez, who practically forced him out of Los Blancos prior to the start of last season. In fact, Di Maria revealed he was asked not to play the Final match of the World Cup with Argentina, since Los Blancos feared he could come down with another injury.

"The letter arrived to the clubhouse during the hours prior to the final. They told me that Argentina's National Team would be held responsible if I played. I just read the letter out loud, tore it apart and threw it away," Di Maria stated.

Although it's just the beginning of any negotiation, it is yet unclear if Di Maria would stop playing for six months and join the team once the transfer ban is over, or if he will remain playing with Manchester United on loan until January 2016.
