The former Juventus player fueled the rumors of a possible signing this weekend after making an appearance in a New York Yankees game.

Andrea Pirlo's future may have already been sorted out. After Juventus' loss against Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League final, the Italian midfielder has been spotted in New York City, where he would have agreed to sign a contract with MLS debutants New York City Football Club.

Pirlo's future with La Vecchia Signora was the subject of rumors for most of the recently concluded 2014-2015 season, as some sources indicated he had a few offers to continue playing away from home. Such teams as Sidney FC, Mexican club Querétaro and NYCFC were rumored to be interested in signing Pirlo, but the player appears to have made up his mind. 

The player shared a picture via his Twitter feed, during his vacation in New York. In this trip, Ferran Soriano, Sports Director for New York's team, has agreed terms of Pirlo's contract with the player, and the deal will be announced by the end of the week, according to various sources.

Adding fuel to those rumors, Pirlo was spotted attending Yankee Stadium by the "fan cam".

If Pirlo ends up joining New York's newest football franchise, he will team up with formr Barcelona striker David Villa and Chelsea's Frank Lampard as the club's third designated player.
