The former Sevilla player will not be able to play with los Blaugranas until 2016, due to the transfer ban handed to the Champions League holders.

Despite being banned of registering any new players for the 2015-2016 season, Barcelona has signed former Sevilla player Aleix Vidal. The 25-year old will join Los Blaugranas for five years, but he will not be able to perform with La Liga's title holders until January, due to the transfer ban handed to the Catalunyans.

Vidal played for both Barcelona's and Real Madrid's youth teams, before joining Gimnastic Tarragona. After a loan spell with Mallorca, the versalite players penned a deal with Almería, where he became the best footballer in the team. During the recently ended season, Vidal was key to Sevilla's Europa League win over Dnipro, and he was called up by Vicente del Bosque to join the Spanish National Team.

The player revealed he did not think twice about joining Los Culés, even if that meant having to stop playing for the next semester.

"After my daughter's birth, this is the best day of my life. I am returning to my house, and it's even better to be here if my new team-mates have won it all. It won't be difficult to stop playing for the next months, since I can use that time to get used to play in this position (right back)," Vidal stated.

Aleix Vidal signed with Barcelona as the possible replacement for Dani Alves. Although the Brazilian defender has not inked a new deal with Los Blaugranas, Vidal still counts on him to return to the team next year, in order to benefit the squad with both of their skills.

"He's the best right back in the world. Competition is key to improve every team, and I'm sure we can work together to make the most out of the situation. It will be a challenge, but I know what I'm capable of," the player added.
