The French player was the team's best scorer during his first season with Los Colchoneros, and was rumored to be in transfer talks with Bayern and Chelsea.

After all that's been rumored about his future, French striker Antoine Griezmann denied he will be leaving Atletico Madrid this summer. His goal scoring skills did not go unnoticed for some teams, with some sources indicating Bayern and Chelsea were preparing huge bids to sign him.

During the French National Team's gathering for their upcoming matches against Belgium and Albania, the former Real Sociedad striker made it clear to everybody: he has no intention of leaving Los Colchoneros.

"I want to be an important player for the team and always give 100%. I'm only thinking about Atletico right now, my goal is to enjoy this team, its fans, the stadium and my team-mates. The (stadium) Vicente Calderon supports you all the way, and its an honor to play for this team. I want to play the best I can just to thank them," Griezmann stated.

The French player had an immediate impact with Atletico during his first season.

Griezmann analyzed Atletico's season, which had them ending in La Liga's third place and just "a few minutes away" from reaching the Champions League semi-finals.

"It's hard to reach your goals when you have ten new players, but we ended up doing it. Personally, I had the chance to play a bit closer to the box, and it was also key for me that I had things going for me when facing one-on-one situations. When you add all of these factors, plus all the confidence you get when you start scoring, then you have a successful season," the Frenchman added.
