The hosts are the clear favorites to win this group, although Mexico and Ecuador will fight hard to try and shock them in front of their supporters.

Copa América will give fans around the world some thrills during this summer, and today, we bring you the first Group analysis. Group A will have the hosts play against CONMEBOL's guest, Mexico, Ecuador and Bolivia. Each of these sides could prove to be very difficult to beat, and even with the Chileans starting the tournament as one of the favorites to win it all, they will face a tough task to live up to the expectations of all their fans, who will want to see them crowned as Champions for the first time ever in the tournament's history.

Chile: Vidal, Alexis and Claudio Bravo as the cornerstones for Sampaoli's team

The hosts desperately need one of their most talented squads of all time to start winning trophies. Like never before, the Chileans can put up a team that can challenge the continent's top performers in order to win the Copa America for the first time. Having ended four previous times with the silver medal, it's time for La Roja to win it all. To do that, coach Jorge Sampaoli will rely heavily on such players as Arturo Vidal, Claudio Bravo and Arsenal's striker Alexis Sanchez. To avoid any surprises, Chile must play their best football against Mexico and Ecuador, which seem to be the most qualified opponents to deny them from the group's top spot. Mexico: The "guests" want to spoil the Chilean party

Having met a number of times in friendly matches and in International competitions, El Tri has what it takes to shock the hosts, but first, they need to find some balance in a talented but unexperienced team. Coach Miguel Herrera was forced to call up two different teams due to all of Mexico's commitments, and they will have to trust veteran center back Rafa Márquez and gold-medalist Jesús Corona to lead his men. Their crucial game will be against Ecuador, where the second place of the group will most likely be decided. For a detailed analysis of Mexico's squad, click here.

Ecuador: La Tri wants redemption after a disappointing World Cup

Being drawn into a group that gives them a good chance to progress, Ecuador enters this tournament with nothing to lose, although they have a lot to prove to themselves. After the death of striker Christian Benitez, it seems that there hasn't been a player that can take over goal scoring duties for "La Tricolor", which was one of the causes for their early exit from the World Cup last year. If they can manage to beat Mexico and Bolivia, they could possibly be considered as one of the tournament's surprises, but they will rely heavily on what Enner Valencia and Jefferson Montero can do, even if both of them did not enjoy the best years of their professional career. Jefferson Montero will have to carry Ecuador on his shoulders if they want to make an impact.

Bolivia: Mauricio Soria needs to re-construct quickly a struggling team

The Bolivians have been one of the least talented teams in the continent for quite some time, and they seem to be a sure win for their group opponents. Coach Mauricio Soria will have to dig deep to find some talent among his squad in order to rescue some points in this tournament. All hopes for the Bolivians will be set on Marcelo Moreno Martins' goal scoring skills, while Pablo Escobar tries to lead them into the second stage, which would be a grand development for them.
