The Premier Leagues' top scorer has always been an object of desire for Florentino Perez, and the Spanish exec wants to sign the Argentinean after a trophy-less season.

Apparently, Florentino Perez wants to start a new "Galacticos" era with Real Madrid following a trophy-less tournament. According to various sources, Los Blancos' president will be making a bid to sign Premier League's top scorer, Sergio "Kun" Aguero. As this site reported back in April, La Liga's runner up would be making a deal with The Citizens in the upcoming transfer window, paying 90 million euros for the player's services.

Aguero has been a long time wish for Perez, ever since the player performed with city neighbor Atletico Madrid. Back then, Los Colchoneros' president Enrique Cerezo refused to sell his top striker to Real Madrid. This situation ended up with an agreement between both Spanish capital teams, which forbidded any of them to sign directly any player from their squads.

Manchester City's striker had one of his best seasons with the team, scoring 26 goals in 31 games. Nevertheless, his health is a matter of concern for Los Blancos, since Aguero missed key moments of the season for the Sky Blues after injuring his right knee in December.

Some sources have indicated this deal could start a new shopping spree for Real Madrid.

Real Madrid could be one of the big spenders this season, following Carlo Ancelotti's sacking today. Alongside Agüero, Los Blancos have targetted David De Gea to join them next season, and the club already penned a deal with FC Porto's right back Danilo.
