In their final match of the season, Manchester City will host Southampton in a Premier League encounter on Sunday, the 24th of May at the Etihad Stadium. Check the live TV and online streaming broadcast listings for Man City vs Southampton below.

The Citizens confirmed their second place finish in the league after Arsenal dropped points against Sunderland in a midweek match. With nothing to play for now, the Citizens will be looking to end the season on a high after finishing the campaign trophy less.

They have been impressive in their recent outings having recorded victories in all of their last five matches scoring 16 goals in the process. They were against Swansea last time out a match which they won  4-2. The score line suggests an easy outing for the Manchester side, however the match could have ended in a different result.

Swansea came twice from behind to cancel early goals from Yaya Toure and James Milner, two players who are expected to be on the Man City exit list in the summer. However the Citizens responded with two late goals from Toure and former Swansea man Wilfried Bony to earn all three points.

Sunday's match will be the last time former Chelsea star Frank Lampard plays in the Premier League before making a switch to the MLS. Manuel Pellegrini  praised the Englishman for his professionalism and claimed that he will have a positive impact at his new club.

"I am very pleased because I think Frank is one of the most important players who play here in the Premier League," he said in a news conference. "His career is brilliant, he is a great professional and we are proud at this team to have him playing here this season."

"I am sure he will have an important impact for New York City," he added. "They have a very good player with a lot of experience and more than that a very good professional who will involve all the team in the targets that club needs."

Southampton on the other hand will be trying to gain maximum points from the match in a bid to leapfrog Tottenham to sixth place in order to earn themselves a place in Europe for next season. They will be without midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin who is expected to be a target for several top European clubs in the summer transfer window. Dusan Tadic has also been ruled out of the match, however Jay Rodriguez who has not played for the Saints this season due to a knee injury is expected to travel with the squad but might not feature.

Man City on the other hand will continue to be without Samir Nasri who has been ruled out with a knee injury, whereas Fernando is also likely to miss the match.
