Boca Juniors and River Plate are still waiting for CONMEBOL's decision concerning their second leg match for this edition of the Copa Libertadores. Sources close to the South American association have revealed that Boca Juniors will have their stadim closed for the remainder of this Copa Libertadores edition, while other sources have stated Los Xeneizes will be expelled from the tournament, and River Plate will be granted a spot among the tournament's final eight teams.

CONMEBOL decided to close Boca's stadium Alberto J. Armando "La Bombonera", and the association's officers have opened a disciplinary file against the host team, before they can make a final ruling on the matter. In fact, the South American association has revealed all of the other fixture's dates and times, with the only exception of the tie that would involve the two Argentinian giants.

Fans and media have made their voices heard all around the world, demanding swift justice and a lenghty ban against Los Xeneizes, while more images emerge from the attack against River's players.
