Bayern Munich will welcome Barcelona to the Allianz Arena in the second leg of the Champions League semi-final on Tuesday, the 12th of May. Check the live TV and online streaming broadcast listings for Bayern vs Barcelona below.

A much awaited fixture reached an unexpected conclusion when the defending German champions were thrashed 3-0 by Europe's most in form team. Neither of the team was able to capitalise on the early chances they got but the match came to life in the second half as Lionel Messi struck twice in three minutes to hand the Catalans an advantage.

Things got from bad to worse for the Bavarians as Messi set Neymar for the third and the final goal leaving Bayern with a 3-0 deficit. Pep Guardiola's problem were further galvanised as Bayern suffered their fourth consecutive defeat as they lost to Ausburg in a league encounter last time out. The only goal of the match came courtesy of Raul Bobadilla who scored his tenth goal of the season to earn his side all three points. Pepe Reina was sent off earlier in the match as he brought down  Bobadilla in the box thus denying him of a goal scoring opportunity, however Paul Verhaegh failed to capitalise failing to score from the resulting penalty.

Amidst all the recent disappointments, Bayern Munich star Thomas Muller is confident that his team can surprise the world by making their way into the final of the Champions League.

"I am neither very euphoric nor very pessimistic," he said at a press conference.

"We need to take our chances. Everyone knows that things were better before. We will have a plan.

"That first leg was a huge disappointment. But since we left Camp Nou we've wanted to make up for it. If we go through, it will be a statement for the world of football. This is the plan and it's not stupid.

"In football, many things are possible. That's why there's still hope and we still believe in ourselves. We can't expect things to go like against Porto. But that's what we need.

"We have to find the right mix of better attacking and more calmness on the ball. The three-man defence was a risk against a three-man attack.

"The coach will prepare us well and the rest is will and support from the fans."

Barcelona on the other hand have been on a blistering run having won all of their last eight matches scoring 28 goals in the process. Lionel Messi has once again been the team's top performer and he is expected to continue where he left off from in the first leg at Camp Nou. The Argentinean's record against German teams has been very impressive having managed 14 goals and three assist in just 11 games. Whereas in four matches against Bayern Munich, the mercurial forward has managed four goals and two assists.

Barcelona have also benefited from the recent form of their star signing Luis Suarez who has now scored 24 goals in his first season at the club.
