The former striker believes that, although there are many talented players out there, football seems to be lacking the same amount of stars that played when he was around.

Legendary striker Ronaldo Nazario revealed he fears this generation does not have enough quality players. "R9" as he was referred to during his glory days with Barcelona and Real Madrid, backed his former Galacticos' team-mate Zinedine Zidane, after the French coach stated that the sport does not have enough talented players as previous generations did. In fact, he mentioned the same players Zidane believes to be true legends.

"I think the same way 'Zizou' thinks. I believe Messi is incredible, Ronaldo is amazing and Neymar is also incredible, but football today is lacking a few more cracks," Ronaldo revealed in an interview.

A true goal scoring legend, "El Fenómeno" was the World Cup's top scorer until last year, when Miroslav Klose surpassed his 15 goals while playing in football's biggest tournament. Having shared the pitch with such players like Luis Figo, David Beckham and many more, Ronaldo kept on talking about his relationship with Zinedine Zidane, who he wishes well in his new endeavour as coach, a path he will never walk.

"He is my friend and we talk a lot about football even today. Today he is a coach, but that's one thing I don't want in any way. The pressure is the same, just not the one which you get on the pitch," he added.

Ronaldo and Zidane often organize friendly matches to support humanitarian causes.

"Comeback? Yet to be seen"

Currently one of Fort Lauderdale Strikers' associates, there have been rumors concerning a possible comeback. Although he would love to play, Ronaldo revealed he is still under a lot of pain, which was the cause he left professional football in the first place.

"It's something that would make me glad, but I don't know if it's going to be possible. I'm still under a lot of pain when I play. I retired because I came down with a groin injury, and everytime I felt that pain, it was like a scalpel went into my body. It was the worst pain of my life, and I don't know if I'll be able to play yet," he concluded.
