Since Bayern Munich fell 3-0 losers to Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League semi-finals, followed by a shock 1-0 defeat at the hands of Augsburg in the Bundesliga, rumors have been linking coach Pep Guardiola with an Allianz Arena exit.
According to recent reports, the Spanish manager had already stricken a verbal agreement with English Premier League giants Manchester City to replace under-fire boss Manuel Pellegrini and coach the Citizens next season.
However, Guardiola has spoken out against these rumors, insisting he has no intentions on leaving the Bavarians before his contract runs out.
"I've already said 200 million times - I'll be here next season. That's it," stated Pep whilst speaking in a pre-match news conference for their clash with the Blaugrana.
"I have a year left on my contract. Next season I will be here."
I'm going nowhere next season, says Guardiola
Bayern boast a 3-0 deficit which they must overturn in the return leg on Tuesday. With the Catalan giants this time traveling to die Roten’s home ground, Guardiola feels his side still have a fighting chance of making the final, but warns the German giants against going all-out attack.
"Barcelona are strong on the break. If we let something slip, they'll punish us.
"We have to defend well. We can't go on the all-out attack. We have to control the game.
"We're Bayern - before a game I've never said that we have no chance. Of course we do."
