The newly crowned champions of England are expected to receive a guard of honour from their counterparts ahead of their Premier League encounter at Stamford Bridge. The Blues secured the title after picking up a 1-0 victory over Crystal Palace last time out, but according to Jose Mourinho his team still has targets to achieve.

The Portuguese is now aiming to record 90 points by the end of the season, a feat which has only been achieved by six teams since the Premier League switched to 38 matches in a season.

"If we can reach 90 it will be a beautiful number for a competition like the Premier League," Mourinho said ahead of their home fixture against Liverpool.

"We want to win our matches. Three difficult matches and Liverpool needs points, normally Sunderland need points, only West Bromwich will be in a situation of playing their last match at home without need for points but that doesn't matter. We want to win. Crystal Palace was perfect example of what football has to be. You don't need to win but you always need to win. So we try to win points."

When asked as to what the turning point of the season was, the former Real Madrid coach referred to the defeat at the hands of Tottenham on new years day. Since then the Blues have not lost a single match in the league.

"Maybe the stability after the Tottenham defeat," Mourinho said. "Jan. 1, 5-3, London derby, heavy defeat, the stability after that. To keep strong and self-esteem high, all together not people trying to find excuses or guilt, we all stuck together, very calm. That moment defined the stability of our group."

Liverpool on the other hand will be hoping to pile pressure on Man United who currently hold a four point lead over the Reds. A victory for Liverpool coupled with a defeat for the Red Devils will close down the gap to just a single point and give Brendan Rodgers' men a glimmer of hope to qualify for the Champions League.

However Liverpool are not in the best of form having recorded just two wins in their last five games. They were against relegation favourites QPR last time out a match in which they were rescued thanks to a last ditch goal from Steven Gerrard.

Rodgers does not have many injury concerns apart from Daniel Sturridge who is expected to return to action by September. Mario Balotelli is expected to be available for selection but there are doubts over the fitness of Mamadou Sakho. Mourinho on the other hand claimed that Diego Costa will not be risked should Chelsea win the league title, the Spaniard is thus not expected to feature on Sunday. The Blues are also likely to be without Ramires (illness) and Oscar (thigh).
