Having conceded defeat to Chelsea in the race for the Premier League title, the Citizens will now be hoping to do the upmost to finish the season in second place. However they face a stiff battle with Arsenal in that regard who are on level points with City with a game in hand.

The Citizens were expected to rival Chelsea for the league title having won it last time out but failed to make a claim for the crown. They have definitely under achieved this season but manager Manuel Pellegrini has claimed that in the long run Man City can match European heavyweight Barcelona and has demanded patience.

"The project at this club is to improve every year, to grow every year as a club, in all senses, in every department, young players, first team," he said.

"It's not easy to compare, not the whole history, but this club in the last seven years, has had the amount of money you need to compete with Barcelona, Real Madrid, Bayern, Manchester United -- the most important teams of the world that can spend more money and have the best players."

"Maybe a lot of people are nervous because you don't do it in three, four, five years. All these projects need a long time and every year you must demonstrate that you are growing and improving."

The Citizens have recorded victory in all their last three matches and will be hoping to end the season on a high. They were against Tottenham last time out a match which ended 1-0 after Sergio Aguero scored the only goal of the match.

QPR on the other hand have their survival hopes hanging by a thread and a defeat on Sunday will confirm their relegation from England's top tier league. Their recent run has not been very impressive as well with the Hoops managing just a single victory in their last five matches.

They were against Liverpool last time out a match in which they showed a lot of character but were denied of any points by a later winner from Steven Gerrard.

Samir Nasri has been ruled out for the rest of the season after picking up a groin injury but captain Vincent Kompany is close to a return.

QPR on the other hand have a hoard of injury concerns with all of Steven Caulker (hand), Clint Hill (hamstring), Mauricio Isla (knee) and Bobby Zamora (hip) doubtful for the match. To make matters worse for Chris Ramsey he will also be without defender Nedum Onuoha who is suspended for the match.
