Real Madrid won four titles in 2014 including La Decima. They expect to be the first back to back champions in the UCL since AC Milan in 1990.

Iker Casillas is optimistic about the future of Real Madrid under Carlo Ancelotti. The Spanish goalkeeper feels that thanks to their coach, Madrid has found lots to brag about since the manager's arrival in 2013.

With Jose Mourinho, there seemed to be a lot of locker room problems with the team. Sergio Ramos and Casillas himself were reported to have a lot of problems with the Portuguese coach. Then, when Ancelotti came in, things have improved for the better inside Madrid's training grounds.

By the end of 2014, those moments of anger and desperation had been left behind by players and fans alike. Real Madrid won the Copa del Rey, the Champions League, the Supercup and the Clubs World Cup. All of those titles in less than seven months.

"He’s the coach that has put a smile back on the faces of the supporters; he brought us the highly desired 10th European Cup and gave the club a magical 2014 winning four titles".

Iker compared the Italian manager to Vicente del Bosque, his coach in the Spanish National team. For Casillas, there are many similarities between both, and that's what makes them so great.

"They are both winners and they both have similar styles in overseeing the team, they care about the welfare of the squad and are not authoritarian".

Now they face an opponent with many big players like Andrea Pirlo. There is one in particular that Casillas looks up to, Juventus' goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon.

"He has been a reference point for my generation and remains so for the next. For players like me, who dreamt of being goalkeepers, he was someone to look up to," Iker said in an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport.
