Back in 2013, Bayern Munich prized Thiago Alcantara, a talented and very promising graduate of La Masia, away from Barcelona.
Pep Guardiola initially handed the Spanish midfielder his debut at Camp Nou, and having taken the coaching job at the Allianz Arena, lured him to Germany.
The Bundesliga and La Liga heavyweights will clash in this season’s Champions League semi-finals, and though two days remain from the juicy encounter, the two teams are already engaged in a pre-game banter.
On Monday morning, in an attempt to ruffle their feathers, Bayern Munich’s official Twitter account sent a video of Thiago showing off his skills in training, with the caption: “Are you ready for some of this?”

The Blaugrana did not back down, however, and had a swift rebuttal for the German champions, posting in response a video of Messi and Neymar strutting their their talents, saying: "Our players can do that too!"

Much of the pre-game talk, though, surrounds Guardiola and his return to Camp Nou, the stadium where he made his name and found fame as one of the world’s most revered managers.
His team will head into the game in fine form, having sealed the Bundesliga crown last Sunday. Injury has robbed them of Dutch superstar Arjen Robben, however, with the 31-year-old ruled out for the remainder of the season.
Barcelona, on the other hand, will have their deadly attacking trio MSN at their disposal, with the South American aces sharing six goals between them in Saturday’s 8-0 win over Cordoba.
