On Monday, north London side Arsenal will travel to lock horns with Hull City, 16th in the English Premier League standings.
The title is no longer up for grabs, as Chelsea officially became champions courtesy of Sunday’s 1-0 win over Crystal Palace.
Nonetheless, 2nd spot is within the Gunners’ range and Arsene Wenger will most definitely be looking to finish as runners-up in the league.
A victory at the KC Stadium will go a long distance in helping Arsenal secure 2nd place, especially with Manchester City currently occupying that position, three points ahead of Le Prof’s crew.
The FA Cup holders, however, do have two games in hand, and a win away to Hull City may not prove too difficult. Last time these two sides met at this very stadium, Arsenal dispatched The Tigers 3-0, with Aaron Ramsey scoring a beauty of a goal.

This will be the two sides’ 5th encounter in 12 months, and Arsenal were undefeated in those five games. In fact, Steve Bruce’s side have not beaten the Gunners in their last nine encounters, with the north London side scoring at least two goals in those last nine meetings.
Hull City are on a two-game winning streak, but a look at the table will show that are not performing well this season. Boasting 34 points, The Tigers are merely one point adrift from the relegation spot.
Despite this, Wenger refused to underestimate Hull City as opponents, regardless of their slump.
"They look like they are getting out of it and I always thought they would get out of it, but there’s not much time to go and they’ve found the results at the right moments," said the French manager.
"We have a big challenge in front of us because we know Hull well. We played them last season in the FA Cup final, played them this year in the cup again and already at home in the Premier League. We know that they are a good side.”
On the injuries front, Arsenal will have to do without the services of Les Blues right-back Mathieu Debuchy, who is unavailable for the game due to a hamstring problem. Furthermore, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Abou Diaby are both not ready for Monday’s tie.

Hull will be welcoming back David Meyler, having seen out his suspension, but question marks remain as to whether he will return to the starting eleven.
