Arsenal's boss answered the Portuguese manager after his statements last week referring to The Gunners' lack of silverware for 11 years.

French coach Arsene Wenger finally responded to Jose Mourinho's taunts after last week's draw between the two sides. Mourinho got into an argument with Arsenal's fans and answered ironically in the post match press conference after being asked about his "boring" tactics. Mourinho stated that the only thing that was boring to him was "not winning anything in the past ten years." Today, Wenger decided to take matters into his own hands.

It gets a bit heated when you fight directly with them, but in the end I believe time heals and the important thing is to respect each other as much as you can. The biggest thing for a manager is to respect other managers. Some people have to improve on that," Wenger stated in today's press conference.

Mourinho and Wenger have had their share of problems while facing each other. Last semester, Wenger got angry at Mourinho for a foul not called on one of his players, which led the Frenchman to push Mourinho. The Portuguese boss seems to have fun provoking Arsenal's manager, and last Sunday's taunt was his last.

Wenger also referred to Chelsea's run this season, which he doesn't believe to be as awesome as people think.

"When you fight for the championship, you win some games because you smell you can do it, not because you’re fourth or fifth. It doesn’t always represent the value of the team. The gap is a gap and they have been more consistent than us from the start of the game. They had a very strong start and that kept them going until the end," Wenger concluded.

Arsenal will face Hull City on Monday, trying to recover the second place in the standings.
