However, Los Blancos legend and New York Cosmos ace Raul has ranked rival Lionel Messi above the likes of Cristiano, Zidane, and Figo.

Real Madrid ace Cristiano Ronaldo came under heavy fire after he appeared to be upset with team-mate Alvaro Arbeloa for scoring when the Portuguese ace had a chance of making the score sheet, on Wednesday, against Almeria.

However, Mexican striker Javier Hernandez spoke of the incident in a brighter light, ruling it out as an obsession with goals, one which makes Ronaldo the best in the world in Chicharito’s eyes.

Speaking to CadenaSer, he said:

"Is Ronaldo obsessed with scoring? He’s not the best in the world for nothing.

"He doesn’t conform, he always wants more. And without that mentality, you can’t be the best.

"He does not get angry when you do not pass him the ball. Against Almeria I saw two white shirts in the box and it was Arbeloa who got the first touch."

Chicharito, who is on loan at the Bernabeu from Manchester United, admitted he understands that competition within the squad may limit his first-team action, whilst also remaining coy over his future with Los Blancos.

"I don’t pick the starting XI and I can’t choose myself. I understand that because there is a world-class squad at Real Madrid and only 11 can play.

"All you can do is play, or wait. It’s part of football."

"Right now I’m getting to play but I don’t know what will happen tomorrow. Maybe tomorrow it will be announced that I am signing for Madrid or going to another club.

"I’m in the best club in the world and the last thing on my mind is the future; I’m enjoying this moment."

On the topic of Ronaldo, Real Madrid legend Raul had a totally different take, claiming his rival and Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi to be the best out there, ranking him ahead of the likes of Figo and Zidane.

Speaking to Sports Illustrated, the Spanish forward stated:

"Messi. I was lucky enough to play with Zidane, Ronaldo, Figo, Cristiano... but Messi is different; he makes everything look so easy, so effortless – even the impossible.

"When you watch him play, it’s almost as though you are watching him in the street playing with his mates.

We can all agree that Messi and Ronaldo are the two best out there, though.
