Before any action is taken by FIFA regarding a transfer ban, Los Blancos want to add the Italian midfielder to their roster.

Before FIFA decides if they will impose a transfer ban on Real Madrid, Los Blancos want to sign a few more players before it's too late. One of those players would be Italian midfielder Marco Verratti, who Carlo Ancelotti developed while he coached Paris Saint Germain a few years ago.

Verratti's addition to Real Madrid would cover the spot that will be surely left by Sami Khedira, who will be leaving the squad this summer, and could possibly give Ancelotti a life line to continue as coach for Los Merengues. Verratti has been one of Florentino Perez's most desired players, and Ancelotti would earn a lot more credibility if he can convince his compatriot to join the current Champions League holders.

With an ongoing investigation concerning the transfer of young players, Real Madrid are apparently speeding up negotiations to avoid being stuck with the players they currently have. Since October of 2014, Real Madrid signed Marco Asensio from Mallorca, Norwegian youngster Martin Odegaard, midfielder Lucas Silva and right back Danilo. According to sources, Los Blancos would be offering 30 million pounds to sign Verratti from PSG as soon as possible, so Perez and his execs can focus on signing a goalkeeper (probably David De Gea) and a left back to cover Fabio Coentrao's departure.
