Southampton will welcome Tottenham to St. Mary's on Saturday, the 25th of April in a Premier League encounter. Check the live TV and online streaming broadcast listings for Southampton vs Tottenham below.

Both teams heavily contested for a place in the top four of the Barclays Premier League but as things stand Tottenham and Southampton are heading towards the Europa League. Chelsea's Capital One Cup triumph has done both the sides a favour, with the sixth placed side in the league now eligible to play in the Europa League next season.

Should Arsenal win the FA Cup for a second consecutive season, the seventh placed team will earn themselves a place in Europe's second tier competitions as well which means that Spurs and Saints both have a chance of making it into the competitions.

Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino however has suggested that he would prefer not qualifying for the Europa League owing to the implications it can have on a team's domestic run. He gave examples of Liverpool and Man United who had contrasting campaigns last season, but whereas the Red Devils have benefited from not playing in Europe, the Reds have suffered.

"You spend a lot of energy when you play in the Europa League but you never know," the former Southampton boss said.

"It is true the experience of last season with Liverpool and now with Man United -- I think that is a clear example that maybe you will have the opportunity to stay closer to reach the top four if you only have focus on the Premier League and the cups."

"The Europa League is not an easy competition. It is a very tough competition because it affects your domestic league and I confirm -- because it always was my opinion at Southampton because you ask a lot -- it is very difficult to manage the Europa League and Premier League and both cups."

Tottenham recorded a 3-1 win over Newcastle United last time out and will be hoping they can leapfrog Liverpool who play West Brom on Saturday. Southampton on the other hand have suffered two defeats in their last three games and will be hoping to bounce back as Pochettino returns to St. Mary's.

The Saints have exceeded expectations this season and were forerunners for a place in the top four for the majority of the campaign but have been inconsistent as of late. The Southampton fans however hold their manager in high regards and a section of the fans are celebrating a 'Ronald Koeman Day' on Saturday with the supporters set to wear the Dutchman's national colors, orange in order to offer their support.

Filip Djuricic has been ruled out of tomorrow's game with an ankle injury whereas Victor Wanyama remains suspended. Toby Alderweireld who suffered a shoulder injury in the match against Stoke is however expected to be fit enough to face Tottenham. Spurs are expected to be without goalkeeper Hugo Lloris once again whereas Danny Rose is also a doubt.
