Four Bayern Munich players made the list of the best 11 footballers in the Quarter-Final second leg. Both Ronaldo and Messi did not make the list.

Two days ago, Bayern Munich was expected to exit early from the UEFA Champions League in their draw against FC Porto. On Thursday, UEFA.com released its Team of the Week and the Bavarian team dominates the list with four players. Despite already being eliminated, Jan Oblak from Atletico Madrid and Geoffrey Kondogvia from Monaco made this very exclusive list.

Oblak was a wall for most of the 180 minutes that Atletico played Real Madrid in the Quarter-Finals. He left the first leg with a clean sheet and was aiming at a second one in the decisive game until Javier Hernández was finally able to send a shot past him in the last minutes of the game.

Jerome Boateng and Juan Bernat are the Bayern players in the defensive line of this special team. Boateng's goal against Porto tied the aggregate score momentarily and it ended 7-4 in favor of the German side. In the same game, Bernat assisted Thiago Alcantara's goal and was effective in 90% of his passes.

Joining them on defense were Jordi Alba from Barcelona and Leonardo Bonucci from Juventus. Alba was responsible for making sure that Edinson Cavani did not cause trouble to Barcelona' and he was perfect at it. Bonucci led his team in its efforts to keep a clean sheet just like they have in five of their last six games.

At midfield, Thiago Alcantara is back again in this "ideal" team. The Bayern player was consistent in his efforts during both legs of the series and capped it off with an assist to Thomas Muller in the decisive game. Kondogbia was the best for Monaco. He was even able to win in the personal battle against Andrea Pirlo.

Thiago Alcantara was Bayern's best man in both games vs Porto

James Rodriguez did not score in any game but his performance was among the best for Madrid in their game against Atletico. The Colombian midfielder had some shots at goal that didn't go in. He did participate in the play that ended with Hernandez' goal and Madrid's ticket to the next stage of the UCL.

Up front for Bayern was one of their leaders Thomas Muller. The German striker had one goal and two assists in Bayern's epic comeback against Porto at Alianz Arena. Neymar continued on his UCL hot streak by scoring a brace on PSG that meant the french side had no chance of a miracle at Camp Nou.

Javier Hernández became a trending topic on Twitter in great part by his decisive goal in the Madrid Derby. It was just his second start in UCL games this season and his first goal of the competition in 895 days. When it seemed that the game was headed into overtime, Chicharito ended Real's winless streak against Los Colchoneros with an assist by Cristiano Ronaldo.
