Los Merengues have not been able to beat Atletico in the last seven games. Last time they played at the Bernabeu the game ended 2-2.

The 210th edition of the Madrid Derby is coming up and if Real Madrid wants to move on to the next stage it must end a seven-game winless streak against Atletico Madrid this Wednesday. Los Colchoneros step into the Santiago Bernabeu will try to take advantage of Los Merengues limited roster due to injuries and suspensions.

Without Marcelo out for an accumulation of yellow cards and Karim Benzema, Gareth Bale and Luka Modric not available due to injuries, many players that have not seen much action this season will get their chance. Fabio Coentrao, who has been linked with Manchester United for next season, is set to step in for Marcelo.

Carletto believes in the power of Real Madrid

Isco, who had some good displays prior to Modric's return, is also expected to be back in the starting XI with the absence of the Croatian who had to come out of the field early in the game against Malaga. Carlo Ancelotti has even blamed Modric for speeding up his return after a four-month absence.

Up front with Cristiano Ronaldo, Benzema's place is expected to be taken by Javier Hernández. The Mexican striker was not even on the bench for the first leg but needs to play a vital role in this decisive game. In his last two games, he has one goal and one assist. The 26-year-old is yet to score in the UCL this season.

Real Madrid's manager is confident CH14 can do a good job

When the BBC is complete, Ancelotti usually plays a 4-3-3 system. With all the modifications needed to his traditional starting XI, chances are that he will have to switch to a 4-4-2. Fortunately for fans, it is a system they like more and one that has proven to be more effective than what the Italian manager admits it to be.

On the other side, Diego Simeone has a healthier roster. The only player that has been ruled out for the game against Madrid is Mario Suarez who is suspended after accumulating yellow cards. Mario Mandzukic is in doubt with a problem in his ankle but due to the importance of the game, it is most likely El Cholo will use him.

History gives Los Colchoneros a good chance in this game

Real Madrid can't seem to figure out a way to get past Atletico's defensive line. It has proven to be very effective with only 26 goals scored against their side in La Liga this season. Real has received 28 goals. In the first leg of this quarter-finals, Jan Oblak kept a clean sheet despite the many chances Ancelotti's side created, saving all of Real's eight shots on target.

Simeone is not concerned with the injuries of what Ancelotti has called the "best squad in the world." His main concern is knowing he is playing in front of the Real Madrid faithful, who can put a lot of pressure on Los Colchoneros. Last time they played there, the game ended with a 2-2 draw in the Spanish Cup.

El Cholo feels that the pressure is on Real Madrid

It has been said that a loss for Ancelotti could mean he is on his way out for next season. With a La Liga title also at risk, Carletto must want to show he is the right man for the job. In front, he has a coach who seems to have Real Madrid figured out. Who will come out on top in a derby where a draw is not allowed?
