Messi hit the advertising signs and then the ground with his face first. It has almost been ten years since he scored his first goal with Barcelona.

Lionel Messi was too excited to score his 400th goal with Barcelona that he could not control his steps after giving Barcelona a 2-0 lead against Valencia.

It was a goal that was just as important for him as it was for his team. By reaching a new milestone, he had given Los Cules a comfortable lead they would not relinquish. Now Barcelona is still two points ahead of Real Madrid with only six games to go in the season. The fight is not over, but the hardest part seems to be.

Leo ran behind the net after he scored. He then realized he was too close to the advertising signs and tried to slow down and turn. His left foot slipped and he fell to the ground with his face-first. Fortunately for those that were close to him at the moment, and to all his fans, nothing happened. Messi stood up and continued celebrating with his teammates.

Messi had his debut with Los Cules in October 2004 against Espanyol. It wasn't until May 1, 2005 when in a game against Albacete that La Pulga scored his first goal with the Catalan side.

Since that moment, the Argentinian striker has broken every record in his sight. Messi is only 29-year-old and is definitely hungry for more. The same player that was labeled once for being too short, today stands at the top of the soccer world and is considered among the best players in the sport of soccer.
