Liverpool has only lost one of its last nine semi-finals. Villa has scored five of its nine FA Cup goals in the last five minutes of the game.

Arsenal awaits for its opponent in their hunt for the F.A. Cup glory, and it is up to Liverpool and Aston Villa to decide who will be joining the Gunners in the final match of the tournament. The last chance for Steven Gerrard to play a final with The Reds is 90 minutes away from becoming a reality or staying as a dream.

After a three-match ban, Liverpool's captain is ready to come back and help Brendan Rodgers save a season that is not going so well in the Premiere League. Stevie G has scored 12 goals in league games against Villa throughout his career, the highest number he has when facing any side.

If the domestic league ended today, they (Liverpool) would be out of a chance to play in next year's Champions League once again. Rodgers has claimed that the only way to claim their current season as a disaster is by not winning a trophy. The F.A. Cup, which they have won seven times, is their last hope.

The side managed by Brendan Rodgers comes into this game after winning its last two games, which followed a two-game losing streak against Manchester United and Arsenal. To reach this upcoming game at Wembley Stadium they defeated Rovers by 1-0. Based by the numbers, the fourth place in the EPL is the favorite to meet Arsenal in the final.

Villa is a team with nothing to lose. They would love to put Rodgers job on the line while having a shot of stopping The Gunners from winning back-to-back FA Cup titles. The last time they won this tournament was back in 1957.

They are still not safe from relegation in the domestic league. With 32 points up to this moment, they are only four ahead of Leicester City which is currently 18th in the standings. Leicester still has one game pending against Chelsea which they are expected to play by the end of April.

Villa is one of the best teams when it comes to playing the final minutes of the game. Five of their nine goals in F.A. Cup games this year have come in the last five minutes of the game. Currently, they hold a 10-0-10  record in F.A. Cup semi-finals. Three of them against Liverpool and has lost twice against the side from Anfield.

Turning things around for Villa is not expected to be easy. In front, they have a team that has only lost one semi-final out of their last nine games in this stage. The numbers are against Villa and history demands Liverpool to reach the final, but the element of surprise can't be underestimated in this game.
