The Portuguese boss also stated that Diego Costa is expected to return for the final four games of the season, but he could be fit to make the squad against Arsenal next week.

Prior to his team's match against Manchester United, Jose Mourinho shared his thoughts about the Premier League's title race, in which his club has made quite an impression this year. According to the Portuguese boss, some of the league's officers would prefer that Chelsea hadn't been able to lead all year round, giving fans a little more show.

"We've been leading the league since Week One, and I think that's something that bothers some people in this country. I think that some league officers would like the Premier League to be like the Championship, where four or five teams are separated by a two-point margin. We have a chance tomorrow to make it ten points clear of our nearest opponent, and we will try to make it count," Mourinho stated.

His matchup against Louis Van Gaal gives Mourinho a chance to meet with one of his mentors. The Portuguese manager had nothing but kind words regarding his former boss when both were part of Barcelona's staff.

"I consider him a big, big, big, big friend, but with our jobs at the moment, with clubs with the same objectives, we are not speaking every week. But a deep feeling of a big friend, that doesn't change," Mourinho said about Van Gaal.

Tomorrow's opponents back in 1998, when the Dutch was Barcelona's head coach. Mourinho was his assistant.

"Mou" referred to Diego Costa's absence in a match like this. According to the Portuguese manager, Costa should be fit to join the team for the final games of the season, but things could speed up since his recovery has been magnificent.

"He is progressing very well, he has a chance for next weekend. Our target was for Diego to play our last four matches and Arsenal is the sixth from the end, so if he doesn't play it's not a problem, but things are going so well he has a chance. He's training and he starts with the rest of the squad next week,"Mourinho added.

Finally, the Portuguese boss denied any special motivation was needed when facing Manchester United, claiming these are the kind of games his players never want to miss.
