This was the eighth "dos a cero" win for the U.S. since 2000. The game was almost canceled due to poor field conditions.

It is nothing new by now that the United States beat Mexico at San Antonio in the Alamodome on Wednesday night. Mexico not only lost on the scoreboead, but it got humilliated by fans on Social Media who are starting to get used to a "dos a cero" scoreline.

This was the eight time since the year 2000 that the USMNT beats its southern rival in the battle for CONCACAF bragging rights. This is the biggest rivalry in North America and Mexico is losing its dominance match after match. Even when playing in a stadium where most of the 65,000 fans were cheering for "El Tri", the U.S. dominated on the field and that's where it matters most.

Jordan Morris, a Stanford University student, opened the scoreboard in the U.S. favorJordan Morris goalMexico's Soccer Federation had threatened with cancelling the game due to poor field conditions. That threat did not stop the game from taking place since a sold-out crowd had been anticipated since February. Mexican fans are not buying any excuses for their team's lack of attitude against the U.S.

Losing a game in a day and age like the one we are in now where everything goes viral is quite dangerous. After Mexican players lost on the field, the MLS, US Soccer, football personalities and fans are humilliating " El Tri" for another 2-0 loss even when playing at a venue with over 60% of fans siding with Mexico.
