Eintracht Frankfurt, eighth under the guidance of the attack-minded Thomas Schaaf and usually led by the evergreen Alexander Meier, will take on first placed Bayern. Bayern is no less than 32 points above Frankfurt. They have overcome two tough teams this week already. The Bavarians beat Dortmund using a cat and mouse gameplan (they waited for Dortmund to take the bait) 1-0. They then beat a very convincing Bayer Leverkusen side on penalties, 5-3, in the DFB Pokal quarterfinal. That match, more than anything, required plenty of grit. A whole host of stars are out for Bayern for this Bundesliga match.
Frankfurt will need plenty of grit to beat Bayern. Unfortunately, that might not happen without the aforementioned Meier, who is out with a patellar tendon issue:

Meier's absence though is not the only headache for Frankfurt. Both Carlos Zambrano and Marco Russ are out for them. For Bayern, the injury list is much longer. David Alaba, Arjen Robben, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Franck Ribery and Tom Starke are out. Mehdi Benatia had to be substituted early because of a hamstring injury against Leverkusen and will be unavailable for this one. Javi Martinez is not fit enough to return to action just yet. These injuries leave Pep Guardiola extremely short of options:

Guardiola had more to say about the injury situation currently according to Yahoo Sports:
"We had problems and now we have more problems. Our situation is very critical, very critical."
"I never had a situation with so many injuries. But we are here. We will fight until the end for our goals, our club."
