The wingman's future with the Reds has been the source for rumors for quite some time now, since he has refused to sign a contract extension with the team.

Liverpool unveiled their new kit for the 2015-2016 season at Anfield Road, in front of fans and media. Simon Mignolet, Daniel Sturridge, Martin Skrtel and Raheem Sterling were elected to model the new outfit by American supplier New Balance, which penned a £300 million four-year deal with the Reds, replacing Warrior as the team's kit sponsor. Sterling's presence during the event was significant enough for Liverpool fans, and while he modelled his kit to the team's fans, one of them shouted out "Make sure we see you in that next season", which was followed by other fans' applause.

During his intervention, Sterling was obviously evasive of that subject, and chose to praise fans and voice his desire of winning the FA Cup, where the team just reached the semi-final stage.

"The fans are great. It's a massive boost when you come out of the changing room and hear them sing that song. You can't get better than that," Sterling told the event's announcer.

The team's home kit will not suffer any major change, adding little details to the current jersey, such as the memorial flame and number 96, in tribute to the casualties at the Hillsborough disaster in 1989.

Team officers revealed that Steven Gerrard was not chosen to model the new outfit since he will be departing Liverpool next summer to join L.A. Galaxy.
