Luis Suarez is in top scoring form but one yellow card away from suspension in La Liga. Barcelona has only received 17 goals this season.

Luis Enrique has lots to think about when choosing who will play the next games for Barcelona. The Spanish manager is fully aware that losing in La Liga as well as in the first leg against Paris Saint Germain could create some issues.

First, in the domestic league, Los Cules will visit Sevilla, who they beat in the first round of the tournament by 5-1. Los Hispalenses are currently fifth in La Liga and still alive in the Europa League so they can’t be seen as an easy rival. 

Barcelona is one of the few teams in the world that can still win three tournaments this season. Winning La Liga, the Spanish Cup and Champions League is something they had not done since Pep Guardiola was the manager.

Luis Enrique knows the success of this season depends on one thing only 

How will they manage to keep all its players in shape? In case Barcelona doesn’t make it past the quarterfinals in the UCL, they have 11 games left to play in just two months. Make that number 14 if they make it all the way to Berlin in the UCL.

Lionel Messi is obviously the center of attention here. With him at his best, they can humiliate the toughest competition. Without him, they definitely don’t find it so easy. It is said that Barcelona is a different team depending on if Messi plays or not.

Now, while the BBC is supposedly untouchable, the MSN trident can suffer modifications and still work well. They did not run into trouble while Neymar was out in the game against Almeria. Pedro Rodriguez did a good job in his absence.

Resting Luis Suarez against Sevilla may not be a good idea. The Uruguayan striker has nine goals in the last ten games. The risk here is that he has four yellow cards, one more and he’s out for the following game in La Liga. 

Things won’t get easier next week. While PSG will be without Zlatan Ibrahimovich and David Luiz, they have showed to be a team with lots of courage. Then they will host Valencia which in in 4th. Lucho can give his best players some rest by the time they face Espanyol on April 18th. 

Lucho can rest assured that any goalkeeper he chooses can do a good job. Barcelona has only allowed 17 goals this season, lowest number in La Liga. This team has talent in every position. Sure Luis Enrique can find a way to win it all.
