The former Chelsea player has also been sought out by Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain after his superb performances this season.

Belgian midfielder Kevin De Bruyne is set to return to the Premier League next year. Sources indicate that Manchester City's director of football, Txiki Begiristain, held a couple of meetings with the player's agent in order to determine the amount of money needed to get the former Chelsea man dressed as a Citizen.

De Bruyne's form with Wolfsburg has raised several questions regarding his quick departure from Stamford Bridge, because his stats have transformed the green-and-white outfit into a title contender. Since joining Wolfsburg, De Bruyne has played 57 games and scored 19 goals in all competitions, becoming a key asset for Die Wölfe.

Nevertheless, the player's agent Patrick de Koster revealed the current second place holders in the Bundesliga would not consider selling the Belgian for no less than 40 million euros.

"Clubs who are ready to bid 30 million euros for Kevin have no sense of reality. A player like Kevin has a market value of some €50 million, €55 million or even €60 million by now," de Koster revealed last week.

The 23-year old Belgian arrived to Wolfsburg back in January 2014 after the club paid Chelsea almost 17 million pounds for the player's services.
