The French striker believes people in his country complain too much after years of not having top players performing in Ligue 1.

Thierry Henry keeps helping his former team-mates, even after retirement. The former French striker and current sports anchor defended Zlatan Ibrahimovic after the Swedish forward complained about the referees in a game and "offended" the French people. In his opinion, Henry believes French fans took this matter too seriously, while praising Zlatan as a good team-mate.

"The people in France should make up their mind about what they really want. First they were complaining about the lack of big stars in Ligue 1 and now they have a player of Ibrahimovic's stature, they are complaining about him again. Zlatan is an extraordinary guy. He is incredibly kind and we laughed a lot together," Henry said in an interview.

"This sh***y country does not deserve PSG"-- Zlatan Ibrahimovic

Henry kept on defending Zlatan, stating that the Swede is entitled to be as competitive as he has shown while in France, because he is as hard-working as they come.

Of course, he can be quite temperamental. He says what he thinks, but that has never bothered me. There are not a lot of players with his character. People in France should enjoy Ibrahimovic while it lasts. He is an amazing player, someone really special who has marked an era. He has won league titles wherever he went," Henry added.
