The Mexican midfielder arrived to the Netherlands this season, and became a fan-favorite for his great performances with the league leaders.

PSV Eindhoven finally heard their fans, and agreed to sign Andres Guardado from Valencia.,The Mexican midfielder, currently on loan with the Farmers, became crucial to coach Philip Cocu's tactics and has even worn the captain's armband in his first months with the club.

Guardado's performances with the team did not go unnoticed to other top teams, having Paris Saint-Germain interested in signing the Mexican. "El Principito" previously played for Spanish sides Deportivo and Valencia, being loaned to Bayer Leverkusen last season. 

PSV agreed to sign Guardado on a three-year deal, with the amount of the transaction yet to be disclosed. 

Recently, the player was highly praised by the team's fans, who created the Mexican flag at Philips Stadion when Guardado was entering the pitch. Added to the Mexican flag gesture, the team's supporters showed a message in Spanish which read: "Andrés Guardado, our golden Mexican eagle has to keep playing for PSV. Our house is your house, Andrés."

Earlier this season, fans chanted Andres Guardado's name while being subbed off the pitch, singing the well-known "Cielito Lindo as he stepped out.
