The Argentinian referred to the upcoming Clasico on Sunday, displaying no sign of being over confident about their chances of beating Los Blancos.

Argentinian striker Lionel Messi spoke today about the upcoming Clasico against Los Blancos, stating his outmost respect for his opponents. The current La Liga scoring leader feels that despite their current form, Real Madrid will be even tougher to beat for Los Blaugranas when they meet at Camp Nou on Sunday.

"Real Madrid has impressive players that can turn things around. We can't say they get to the match in better or worse form, because those players can make the difference individually. We will try to play the way we like to, but we have to be respectful of them. Their team is more dangerous in their current form," Messi stated.

With magnificent performances recently, the player born in Rosario, Argentina has erased all the criticism surrounding him after a slow start of the season. Dismissing all praises towards him, Messi revealed his style of play has evolved during this past few months, but he believes there's still room for improvement.

"It's funny, because just a month earlier you guys said I was just a mess. I can't go from being a mess to being in the best shape of my life. The thing is, we started this year with new goals and with the best of intentions, so we were able to improve our performances. We had our ups and downs, but we have to keep in mind that it's a long season and we must try to extend this great form we are showing so far," Messi added.
