Arsenal will try to earn a place in UEFA Champions League history when they face Monaco on Tuesday night. The Gunners must score three times without conceding in order to win a spot among Europe's final eight teams in the tournament, something that has never happened before. The French team, on the other hand, will try to confirm their hopes of becoming the tournament's underdog after a brilliant performance at Emirates Stadium back in February 25.

The hosts have been able to put up some good numbers during this Champions League edition, winning their group over Bayer Leverkusen, Zenit and Benfica, and having only conceded two goals in the tournament. Leonardo Jardim stated earlier this week that his men should not take Arsenal for granted, even though they carry a huge lead from the first leg. Monaco's boss will have to make due without players such as Lacina Traore and Jeremy Toulalan, although the latter was still trying to make it to the decisive game. Upfront, Dimitar Berbatov could be the key for Monaco's survival, having scored one of the goals during their visit to Emirates Stadium.

On the other hand, Arsenal will search for a historic win when they enter the pitch of Stade Louis II. Arsene Wenger's man carry an important streak of wins, having lost only the previous match against their hosts on Tuesday. Adding some boost to their season, the Gunners have reached the third spot for the first time in the Premier League since September, racking up wins against Everton, QPR and West Ham in their domestic tournament, while defeating Manchester United in their FA Cup match.

Since their awful night against Monaco, Wenger's crew has only conceded two goals in their recent four games, scoring nine goals in the process. Tomorrow, they will need the most of their defense, led by Laurent Koscielny and Per Mertesacker. Their scoring needs will have to be satisfied by Alexis Sanchez, one of the best signings in the Premier League this season, helped by Danny Welbeck and Olivier Giroud, who will try to make ammends with his fans after a very disappointing first leg.
