Le Professeur knows Arsenal made many mistakes in the first leg. It is a second chance

If someone should believe Arsenal can still manage to be the only English team to advance in the Champions League it is Arsene Wenger. The good news for Arsenal fans is that he does believe in a comeback against Monaco.

After a 3-1 loss in London, the Gunners chances to stay alive are really slim. They must score three goals and not receive a single one to make a miracle happen. Wenger said it’s all about focus and doing things right.

"We wanted too much to make a difference in the first game and forgot our basics - that means to defend well and attack well,” Wenger claimed.

Monaco got a comfortable lead vs Arsenal in the first legMonaco got a comfortable lead vs Arsenal in the first legHe compared the panorama to one simple analogy. Le Professeur claimed that in life sometimes you don’t get second chances. In soccer, things can be a little bit different.

"In football, you can do it, so let's just give everything to do it,” the manager said.

Being the underdogs ahead of the second leg is something that could play in their advantage. They just can’t afford to do the same defensive mistakes they did in London.

"We are in a position where Monaco is favorite. People think they have already won it, but they can still lose it,” the Arsenal coach said.

Since that first leg, Arsenal has shown to be in good form. Four wins in four games is their record since that February 25th game.
