The Welshman has not scored in his past nine games. Any club would have to pay over £100 million for his services.

Since the transfer rumors started for Gareth Bale, his only option seemed to be with Manchester United. That is not the case now, as Chelsea and Manchester City are also interested in bringing the Welshman to their team.

Bale has not been as hot as he was last season where he scored decisive goals in the Copa del Rey and Champions League finals. Now, in the past nine games, he has failed to score and only has one assist with his name on it.

By judging the way Bale plays, he could seem as a better fit for the Premier League teams than for La Liga. During his first stint in England, he played for Southampton and the Spurs before joining Real Madrid.

The main problem for any club that decides to sign him comes from the economic perspective. Being able to afford a deal that could be worth over £100million, plus paying £300,000-a-week wages and on top of that stay within FFP rules.

Bale’s transfer to Real Madrid in the summer of 2013 came at a higher price than what Los Merengues paid Manchester United to get Cristiano Ronaldo. Any club that wants him should know he is not playing at a level worth that kind of money.

At Chelsea, there have been rumors mentioning that goalkeeper Petr Cech could be the one sacrificed at Stamford Bridge to let Bale in. The Citizens have been quiet about transfer talks, but aiming for the Welshman is a pretty big deal.

He had been selected as one of the top-11 players not to be at the past World Cup. This year, a total of 12 goals in 30 games do not give Bale much to brag about.
