Real Madrid's President also asked fans to stand by Iker Casillas, as a true representative or the team's philosophy for a long time.

Real Madrid's boss Florentino Perez spoke today at a press conference to deny any intention of sacking coach Carlo Ancelotti. After tackling that subject, Perez referred to CR7's apparent media snub, which he revealed after the UEFA Champions League match against Schalke 04. Without a hint of a doubt, Los Blancos' president stated he respects the Portuguese superstar's decision.

"I'm not going to question Cristiano Ronaldo now, they've all hit a rough patch. I'm sure he'll come out and talk, especially when we win our 11th Champions League," Perez assured.

Perez still trusts Ronaldo can get back to his previous form, even after fumbling around for the past two months, barely scoring any goals and staging below average performances.

"There is a level of demand which cannot always be maintained. Ronaldo is working on getting back to his best and is excited about fighting to win the Ballon d'Or again," Perez added.

"Iker Casillas is a symbol"

After Tuesday's loss to Schalke, fans and media turned their sights towards Iker Casillas, whose recent performances in top level games have been rather disappointing. Aware of his goalkeeper's low form, Perez asked fans not to put so much pressure on the shot-stopper, respecting all the good things he gave Los Merengues.

"Real Madrid's goalkeeper is a club symbol,  I won't go through his CV. If Casillas makes a mistake, what he needs is support. We all make mistakes, but we have to support him. A certain level of self-destruction has taken over the club, and I want our fans to support the players," Perez concluded.
