Los Blancos' president also referred to the media blackout Cristiano Ronaldo announced after the team's 4-3 defeat against Schalke on Tuesday.

Florentino Perez staged a press conference earlier today, in which he took the opportunity to talk about the team's current performance. During his meeting with the media, Real Madrid's president dismissed the rumors surrounding Carlo Ancelotti's future with Los Blancos, since some newspapers published that the Italian would leave the team's dugout if they lose El Clasico on March 22.

"We always expect the best of everyone that works here, and we have to acknowledge we haven't played our best football lately. The Board has full confidence in our players and our coach, and no matter what happens in the next few weeks, Carlo Ancelotti will keep his job with us," Perez stated.

Los Blancos' president even mentioned Spanish newspaper Marca for publishing lies related to the team. To be abundantly clear on the matter, Perez dared the newspaper's editors to call him whenever they want to confirm such delicate information.

"I won't be adressing the press every time they print something like this. Ancelotti will keep coaching the team because that's what our fans and players want. I had breakfast this morning reading these lies, and I've had enough. If they want to, my phone's always available before they publish these kind of news," the team's president added.

"There's no doubt Ancelotti has to stay"-- Portuguese defender Pepe

Supporting his president's words, Portuguese defender Pepe also believes Ancelotti is the perfect man to lead Los Blancos, disregarding all the recent criticism. For Pepe, things changed when "Carletto" took Real Madrid's coaching responsibilities, and even stated the players don't miss their former coach, Jose Mourinho.

"I don't miss Mourinho. We work much harder under Ancelotti than we did under Mourinho, there's no doubt that Ancelotti has to stay. He's a great coach and has brought the club a lot of joy in a very short space of time. He is in no way 'lenient'. He has an amazing track record and is extremely demanding. Thank God I've had a coach like Ancelotti, he's helped me very much," Pepe revealed.
